So, gameplan.

I’m going to try to stick it out here in Ireland until the end of August, might as well use up the entirety of my visa. In order to do this, I need to make money, which is considerably difficult considering that Ireland is probably one of the hardest hit by this stupid recession. I’m thinking I’ll try to coast on this design thing for as long as I can, but I’m not sure how well that’ll work.

Hopefully this’ll give my Mom opportunity to manage to save up to come visit me while I’m in Ireland, and maybe Rob will come by, too. But.. who knows. Guess we’ll see how things pan out with them.

At the end of August, I’m going to hit the Netherlands for a few days. Maybe Germany, but I doubt it, want to save that up for a good long trip. After that, I think I’m going to touch base back in Canada for awhile during the fall (oh how I miss the smell of grapes in late August/early September!) and get work around there, then go to Germany when I’ve saved up enough.. then whatever other countries I feel like going to afterwards.

Oddly, despite them never really being one of those “must go to” countries previously, I really want to go to Australia and New Zealand lately.  Must be the Irish mentality sinking in, since everyone here goes to Australia.. or Thailand, but I really have no desire to go to Thailand, personally.

Anyway, it’ll be interesting to see how all this goes.

This is what happens when I’m bored at four thirty in the morning. Counting, or in this case drawing, sheep does not really help me sleep.

The battle continues.

Well after an awful lot of hassle, I’ve finally managed to re-establish my online presence. I gotta say, it’s nice to be back on my own turf.

I lost my old xiiad.com to the theives that are my former domain name company. I was stuck without internet for a fantastically long period of time while I was bouncing around homeless here in the great green drunken abyss known as Ireland and subsequently missed my renewal fee. Now, after they recognized the brilliance that was the xiiad.com domain name, they’ve decided they want $160 for what was originally a $5 domain. Quite obviously I symbolically threw up my middle finger and simply went to my sweet saviour, DreamHost, and purchased xiiad.net. And here I am, once again, not entirely sure what to do with my blog but damned if I don’t figure something out.

I suppose I’ll write more when I think of it, but for now, this will have to do while I get the tweaking of my layout done.
